S. K. M. Maeilanandhan is an Indian industrialist, philanthropist, educationist, and spiritual leader from Erode, Tamil Nadu. He is best known as the founder of the SKM Group, one of India’s leading agro and industrial business groups.

Born in 1945 in Modakurichi, Erode district, he rose from humble beginnings and built a successful business empire through determination, innovation, and disciplined leadership.

Beyond industry, he dedicated his life to social welfare, education, village development, environmental sustainability, child welfare, and spiritual upliftment. He has actively supported yoga and meditation movements and served as The President of the World Community Service Centre (WCSC).

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to society and industry, the Government of India awarded him the prestigious Padma Shri in 2013.
